Hafa Adai! My name is Myong and I am a wedding photographer in Guam and San Diego, California. I specialize in capturing true moments, creative portraits and fun photos for all my brides, grooms, friends and family, especially my little son, Tumtum. I am very honored that you guys have taken your time to stop by to check out some of my photography stuff. This blog is a photo journal of my weddings, portraits, personal shoots and my little son's life as he grows up so fast. This is where you can get to know a bit more about me and if there's anything that you like, leave a comment. We all love comments:O)
Eileen is a high school friend of mine and came back to Guam for a family vacation with her husband Chad and their two adorable little kids. They were looking to get some fun family photos before heading back to Guam since they didn’t know when the next time they’ll all be back together again. We went to Latte Stone Park and spent an hour getting all kinds of cool shots. I love that location. The song I used for the slideshow below is an acapella version of ‘Oh Happy Days’ by Neri Per Caso.
The weather was perfect for Mari and Brian’s wedding with gray clouds surrounding the colorful Guam scene for great photos! Mari has been a friend of mine for over 12 years! Finally she is with a man of her dreams and the wedding couldn’t be more perfect. The couple lives in California but flew back home to Guam for the wedding. I just love weddings that has plenty of laughters and tears of happiness. It’s this energy that just keeps me going with wedding photography. Life and love is Beautiful!
I flew out to San Diego last month to shoot 2 weddings and Vanessa and David’s wedding was my second wedding. They have a huge house with a horse ranch in North County San Diego. The weddings was small but very intimate. I love weddings like this because it is so personal. Vanessa and her daughters even had to insert horse sperm into a female horse at the end of the ceremony. It was a sight to see for sure:) Here are some of their photos and you can check out the slideshow below to see the photos of the horse getting pregnant artificially. Update, it was a success. I was told it takes couple times and it’s very pricy to get the shipment of horse sperm. Amusing.
So I got flown out back to San Diego from Guam to shoot Charlene and Jack’s Wedding. I have to admit that this was one of the most fun wedding I shot. It was a huge crowd, everybody was so warm and friendly and the couple was madly in love. A huge thanks to Christina for hooking me up with this wedding. Christina is a wedding coordinator of BB Weddings and Events Inc, one of the best I’ve ever met, and her business can be seen at www.bbweddingsandevents.com. She’s usually booked in most weekends so you’ll have to get her as soon as possible:) I am only going to put two photos of Charlene and Jack cause I highly recommend looking at the slideshow below to see the rest of the wedding photos. I am very pleased on how it came out. I felt like I caught a great amount of emotions which I really enjoy doing. Special thanks to Tina. You Rock!
I had the priviledge to photograph the popular Danielle at Tanguisson Beach. Danielle is also our Guam Xperience TV show host with Aleta and Val which will be airing in few months in Guam. Danielle is a runner up in Guam Miss Universe, face for It&e and AK Toyota and couple other things. She even has a complimentary car from Toyota just so people can see her driving their car. Now that’s how she rolls:) She was a delight and the shoot was very fun. Enjoy.
My little monster, Tumtum, is 4 years old and man how time flys. I took this while he was lying arond watching ‘Toy Story”. He is so damn handsome I just want to pinch his cheeks til he cries:) They grow up so fast I need to find a way to slow the time down a little.
My parents close friends just recently got married and asked me to photograph their wedding. They own a korean resataurant and feed me from time to time so I have to hook it up:) We went to the Hilton and my parents helped out holding the light and my bag which was awesome of them. Yeah, we’re tight like that.
I’ve been busy lately adjusting to Guam living so I haven’t updated my blog in a while, my bad:) This is a recent photograph of Valena Cruz who is my friend and also one of my host for a TV show we’re coming up with in Guam. It’s called Guam Xperience and it’s a show that in one episode it can show the viewer a place to cruise, place to eat, local sports, night life and a local original music video. You can view our first trailer below. I also have Lindsey, a Sandcastle dancer which is like a Vegas show, below.
I had one of the best times photographing my friend John’s wedding. He’s married to Erica and told me that when he first laid his eyes on her, he told his friend that he was going to marry that girl. Amazing that it actually happened:) I can clearly see this awesome couple has true love written all over it. Some people just looks like they’ve been married all there life because they compliment each other so well like a matching jigsaw puzzle. I love it.
This was my first wedding shot in Laguna Beach, California and it was very nice. Couple of my favorite photographer colleagues in Orange County have shot handful of weddings in Studio 7 and I finally get the chance to shoot there. Ryan and Kimberly are such awesome people and helped make the whole wedding experience great!
